Sanford E. Thompson in 1908

I received an 800 page history of Lockwood Greene and Co. today, and got some clues that may expand our resources. An engineer named Chester Allen joined Lockwood Greene (Boston) in 1910, after working with Sanford E. Thompson on the book "Reinforced Concrete in Factory Construction," for Portland Cement. The title sounds pretty relevant, and it's first edition was published in 1908. I checked the CCA's catalog, and it seems like they have it in its 7th edition:

Reinforced concrete in factory construction.
7th edition.
New York : The Atlas Portland Cement Company, 1913.
246 p. : ill.
OCLC #: 174569333
Call #: ID:86-B8373

Thompson seems like he was right on top of things in the early stages of reinforced concrete. He has other publications at CCA. Just search "Sanford Thompson" under "author."

Anyone heading to CCA between now and Monday's class, feel free to take this lead...I won't be able to get in this weekend.
Steve
